Decolonizing Dance Writing

Facilitator: Gregory King, This workshop investigates the urgency and discuss methods to decolonization dance writing. The session is about validating the aesthetics of all dance genres, appreciating various dance space, and embracing multiple ways of documenting and archiving dance stories. We will fundamentally reconsider who is writing, what gets written about, and how it is written. What this means then is that the culture of dance criticism will be interrogated so as to meet the needs of everyone in the dance world and not just a few.
